The India Govt. started a scheme under Industrial policy to develop the small and cottage industries which had built up a self-employment with the help of human resources, technically skilled person. Under this scheme some institutes were set up and kept the name of those Institutes were Industrial training institutes i.e. I.T.I. and in private sector, those types of Institutes were called I.T.C. (Industrial Training Centre). Industrial Training Institute & Industrial Training Centers are training institute which provide in technical field and constituted under Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGE & T), in the Ministry of Lab our & Employment, under the Government of India. Industrial Training Centre (ITC's) is training Centre which provides training in technical field in India. Normally a person who has passed 10 standards (SSLC) is eligible for admission to ITC. The objective of opening of ITC is providing technical manpower to industries. People of engineering trade can go for higher studies like diploma in engineering.
These people are trained in basic skills required to jobs of say operator or a craftsman. The course in ITI is designed in way to impart basic skill in the trade specified. The duration of course may vary from one year to two years depending upon trade opted. After completion of desired period of training the person is eligible to appear in the All India Trade Test (AITT) conducted by NCVT. Industrial Training Center (ITC's) are self-financing and providing same courses as ITI's. Trade test for ITI and ITC trainees are same. The certificate issued by NCVT is of same standard whether one had training in Government owned ITI or privately owned ITC. People of engineering trade can go for higher studies like diploma in engineering. There are also specialized short term courses in Advanced Training Centre (ATI) which enhances the skills of candidates. ITC qualified persons can set up their own garage, motor/generator/transformer winding shops or fabrication shops depending upon trade opted. Our Mission and Vision


Feeling the need necessity of technical training among the less privilege and the basic academic students. The management has also proposed to start short term courses in various disciplines, in order to make them self-employed and start their own setup. The situation is one the most sought after in the entire state.
